Every July, millions around the world take part in Plastic Free July—a global movement to reduce single-use plastics and protect ecosystems.
At , every month is plastic-free. But this July, we challenge you to go even further:
- Say no to plastic bags, cutlery, and wrappers
- Choose compostable or reusable options
- Support brands working on real, nature-based solutions
Our cellulose-based material replaces plastic packaging with something that performs like plastic—but breaks down like paper.
Join the movement at plasticfreejuly.org and help build a cleaner future.

In honor of World Nature Conservation Day, here are a few small actions that protect two of Earth’s most vital systems: trees and oceans.
Ways to Make an Impact:
- Plant or protect native trees in your area
- Cut down plastic use to prevent ocean waste
- Support compostable, renewable materials like cellulose and educate others

New Home: University of Southern Maine Lab
Big news! We officially moved into our new R&D lab space at the University of Southern Maine. This marks a huge step forward in our R&D work. This move will enable faster development, testing, and innovation of our sustainable materials. The academic ecosystem also will keep us connected to fresh ideas and future partners.
Did You Know?
Cellulose—the natural polymer found in plants—is the most abundant organic material on Earth.
When processed and engineered with precision, cellulose can be transformed into materials that mimic plastic—strong, flexible, and even water-resistant—but without the toxic legacy of petroleum-based plastics.
At , we’ve taken this further. Using our proprietary approach we created a material that looks and feels like plastic—but it’s paper.
- Compostable
- Non-toxic
- Ocean-safe
- Designed for circular use
- Scalable for packaging, disposables, and beyond
This is how we are turning everyday plant matter into next-gen solutions that serve both people and the planet.
